Challenge yourself and help the Canadian Diabetes Association make a difference in the lives of the 3 million Canadians with diabetes by hitting the trails or the road with Team Diabetes in 2010!
After a few years’ hiatus, Team Diabetes returned to cycling in 2009 and due to the positive feedback received, is delighted to offer multiple cycling events for 2010!
“Mountain bikers don’t often get a chance to combine their love of single track with an important cause so including events on the Team Diabetes calendar is an opportunity not to be missed,” states Rebecca Taylor, Team Diabetes Coordinator. “We are also offering great road cycling events so we basically have an event for all cyclists, whether they are a beginner, enthusiast or seasoned racer.”

This sentiment is echoed by the many that have already tested their skills and stamina in support of the Canadian Diabetes Association.
“Being a part of Team Diabetes is a great opportunity to push myself outside of my comfort zone and to achieve stretch goals with the support of a fantastic group of dedicated people,” said Suze Cumming, Team Diabetes Team Member. “It’s really rewarding to raise money for this amazing association, role model a healthy lifestyle for my daughter and others with diabetes, and achieve a personal best in a super fun mountain bike race,” added Suze.
