Cycling – Bike Spotting in Montreal – Redux

Yesterday I blogged about the cycling antics of some Montrealers. I am actually very impressed by their bravado, bravery, spunk, skill, etc….

This morning I awoke to even more snow. I wondered if I would still see cyclists out there. After all, the weather was so bad I had to delay my return to Ottawa by a day. Chances seemed slim.

After breakfast, I ventured outside my hotel to find this beautiful (Wintery) example of bicycle craftsmanship.

Montreal Bike in Snow

Would I be disappointed? Would I see a cyclist in this icy, slippery mess?

Yes!

Short & sweet!

  1. The cyclists are fine. It’s those poor exposed chains I feel sorry for. If there is salt on the road they’ll rust very quickly without a chainguard.

    • Les Faber says:

David, you are indeed correct. You will see many “beater” bikes over here. And the salt plays a big part!

  2. Maureen says:

I’m always amazed and awed by people who ride in the snow.
