We loaded and shipped the container on Saturday September 27th. Wow! Started with an empty 40 ft shipping container, and 4 hours later we needed 3 guys to push the doors closed! 350 bikes, 20 large boxes of spare parts and tools, backpacks galore, and enough soccer gear to give over 600 little athletes at least one item! The container will now travel to Namibia by truck, train and ship - estimated arrival is in mid November! Next up..? We're off to Namibia to see the impact of our last shipment in 2007 and meet the recipient community for this year's Bicycle Empowerment Centre!
