I am somewhat inspired by my friend Marc over at Amsterdamize. He has realized the potential of creating and broadcasting videos in order to get his cycling message across. You may recall that I have posted some of his work in the past.

So – on to business. Marc got me so pumped and motivated that I decided to attempt the creation of my own cycling-related videos.

A couple of things to note:

1. I am not a professional videographer. And hence, my videos may tend to not be of the quality attributed to Cecil B. Demille. But, in my defense, my budget is somewhat lower than his was (90 years later!).
2. All of my videos were done by me… written, directed, etc…. In other words, I videoed what I wanted when I wanted – how I wanted (good plan eh?)

Route:

I did not map this one out as I usually do as Helen & I stuck to bike paths most of the way.

Start (and End) : Hog’s Back Park.

• Bike paths along the Rideau River to Rideau Falls
• Left on Sussex Drive to Downtown
• Scooted around a bit
• Back down Queen Elizabeth Driveway
• Cross locks at Carleton University
• Back up Colonel By to Hog’s Back Park

If you live in Ottawa, the route will be familiar to you. If you have no idea where you are going, strap a portable LCD screen onto your handlebars and follow along on my video!
