This is the third stage victory by a Frenchman in this year’s tour.
This 165.5 kilometer ride from Roanne to Montlucon runs through some serious hills.
Second place was secured by fellow-countryman Jeremy Roy of the Francaise des Jeux team. German Gerald Ciolek came in at third place for Team Columbia.
The coveted Yellow Jersey remains with Sapin’s Carlos Sastre of Team CSC.
Only 2 Stages left until Sunday’s finish in Paris!
