I cannot believe how much I have come to enjoy cycling. It is a totally fantastic experience. You can start & stop as you please. It’s a whole new perpsepctive on the world around us. You travel at a slow steady pace and are able to see things that are simply a blurr from a car window.
This week’s ride was to Rockclliffe, Ottawa. We did a total of 47 kilometers – a rambling ride.
Here’s a shot of Helen at Hogback Falls. Yes, she enjoys cycling!
Our trip proceeded from the Falls through the bike paths of Ottawa to Rockclliffe Park where we had a superb picnic lunch surrounded by beautiful gardens.
Me …. ummmm … resting
The ride back took us below the Chateau Laurier where we forced to do a “bike portage”.
We ended up back where we started…. and stopped for a well-deserved beer.
