Posted by Les Faber in Being a Canadian who lives in Ottawa, the cycling season is dismally short! One can imagine how difficult it is to look out the window and see snow, with sprinkings of dry pavement. This goes on for 6 months of the year.
April is 2 days away and we still have lots of the white stuff out there. However, I can see signs of life. I have already seen a few road bikers out there testing the waters so to speak. With temperatures hoovering around 0 degress Celcius, only the hearty (crazy?) cyclists can be seen on the roads.
I have spring fever and cannot wait to get on my bike.
In order to calm my nerves, my wife Helen is taking me to the IMAX theater to watch “Wired to Win: Surviving the Tour de France”. Not sure if it will make things better or worse!
